Heat or Low Temperature Resistant Inflatable Rubber Seal

The inflatable seal is made of pure rubber materials. It is applied for ordinary sealing occasions.

        Inflatable seal without reinforcement is made of pure rubber materials, its inflation pressure is 60~80KPa, it is applied into ordinary sealing- occasions.

 

1. Main materials

1> If there is no special requirements, inflatable seal is usually made of the mixed materials of NR and synthetic rubber, its service temperature ranges from -55oC to +80oC, and sealing agents are water, air or other inert gases.

2> If the seal needs to contact with oil, organic solvent, etc., it can be made of certain rubber materials which are resistant to those agents. Its service temperature ranges from -30oC to +80oC.

3> If the inflatable seal is required to use at the temperature of -55oC to +180oC, it can be made of silicon rubber.

2. Installation and usage

1> In order to avoid from hurting or puncturing the seal, the groove for installing the seal should be smooth and even.

2> The sealing surface contacted with seal should be clean and smooth and have no groove or pit that may affect sealing effect.

3> Sealing inflation pressure should be controlled in certain pressure ranges, over-high inflation pressure will lead to seal bursting, and over-low inflation pressure will spoil sealing effect.

4> During operation, its appearance should be checked regularly; seal should be changed timely if some abnormal phenomena such as surface cracking, becoming harder or breaking appear.

5> Under normal conditions, the service life of inflatable seal is 3 years; it shall be replaced in time when service life expires.
